Senior Resident Architect at dbt Labs. My role focuses on helping dbt Labs’ biggest customers get more out of the product — a mix of technical hands-on work and strategic architectural frameworks to help data teams operate more effectively.
I take specific interests in data modeling practices, platform engineering principles, and how developer workflows impact productivity. One of my favorite parts of my job is channeling customer and community feedback into open source contributions. I’ve contributed to dbt-core, the dbt Terraform provider, and the dbt MCP server.
I’m a certified professional in dbt (Architect and Analytics Engineer), Google Cloud, and Databricks.
Outside of work I’m usually running (Boston Qualifier, targeting Berlin 2025), playing in a wood-bat baseball league, breadmaking, or two-stepping at Sagebrush in Austin.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
